Child Sexual Abuse
Did You Know?

The Bromley Child Sexual Abuse Care Pathway was updated in 2024 and can be found in our Policies and Procedures page. This sets out what professionals in Bromley should do regarding CSA medicals and seeking support for children and families.
An allegation or suspicion of child sexual abuse (sexual assault or rape) must be acted upon robustly. It is a difficult area for staff to manage. CSA includes physical contact (both penetrative and non-penetrative acts), non-contact activities such as exposure to sexually explicit material, and child sexual exploitation (CSE). All referrals will go through the Children and Families Hub.
