About Bromley Safeguarding Children Partnership

Here in Bromley, we strongly promote that safeguarding children is everybody’s responsibility. Lord Laming was not wrong. Children can only be safeguarded from abuse or neglect if agencies work well together, follow procedures and guidance based on sound practice and are well informed and trained. In addition we want to make sure parents, carers, children and young people and the community have access to information about a wide range of child safety issues.

To ensure this happens, lots of different agencies/ organisations/ sectors work together in partnership - the Bromley Safeguarding Children Partnership (BSCP). You can read what our multi-agency safeguarding arrangements are in our Governance and Structure page.

We continue to be a partnership whose main role is to coordinate what is done locally to protect and promote the welfare of children and young people in the borough and to monitor the effectiveness of those arrangements. The Bromley Safeguarding Children Partnership includes early years and education establishments, health commissioners and providers, Local Authority, Metropolitan Police, probation and justice services, CAFCASS, voluntary and community sector as well as lay members.

We look forward to working with you to keep every child in Bromley safe.
